Matching Process
Step 1 – Schedule an Initial Online Video Consultation
Once you are considering selecting a Chinese egg donor, you can have an initial online consultation with Global Egg Donor. During this consultation, we will need to know why you require egg donation, how many eggs/embryos you need, whether you wish to select the gender, if a sperm genetic report is available, and whether you need to arrange sperm retrieval on the same day as the egg retrieval.
After this consultation, we will provide you with information on available egg donors so that you can decide whether you would like to proceed with matching. Donor information includes: personal details such as date of birth and height, education, family medical history, photos, childhood photos, egg retrieval reports, medical test results, educational certificates, and videos.
We regularly update our pool of egg donors. You can subscribe to our newsletter, and we will proactively notify you when new donors become available.
Step 2 – Select a Donor and Sign Agreements
Once you have chosen a matching egg donor, we will arrange separate agreements for the intended parents and the donor to ensure that both parties understand their respective rights and responsibilities.
After signing the agreements, the intended parents are required to pay the agency fee, legal fee, and the donor’s local screening fee within 7 business days to reserve the donor.
Step 3 – Local Medical Screening
Once we receive your confirmation, the U.S Global Egg Donation team will contact your fertility clinic and physician.
During this period, the donor will receive the latest screening tests prescribed by the physician, including AMH, ultrasound, chromosomal testing, genetic testing, STI screening, and drug use screening.
The donor must complete the initial screening at a local clinic and upload the reports to the IVF physician.
Step 4 – Travel to the IVF Clinic and Synchronize Cycles
After completing the medical screening, the donor will take birth control pills for 10–14 days and travel to the selected IVF clinic.
Upon arrival at the clinic, the U.S Global Egg Donation team will supervise the donor in following the physician’s instructions for administering ovarian stimulation injections on schedule. They will also monitor follow-up appointments and the timing of the ovulation trigger shot to ensure optimal follicle development.
The donor will receive ovarian stimulation injections in the abdomen for approximately 8–14 days, depending on the physician’s protocol. This ensures that the donor’s cycle is synchronized with the intended parent or surrogate, maximizing egg quality and viability.
Step 5 – Egg and Sperm Retrieval
Some cycles require fresh embryo creation. On the day of the minimally invasive egg retrieval procedure, the donor’s eggs are collected, and the male partner or sperm donor provides a semen sample for fertilization.
Step 6 – In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
After egg and sperm collection, the clinic’s embryologists begin the IVF process. IVF involves fertilizing the eggs with sperm in a laboratory culture dish.

Once fertilization is successful, the embryos are monitored for 3–5 days or longer, depending on development. The intended parents then decide whether to proceed with embryo transfer into the surrogate’s uterus.
Step 7 – Pregnancy Test
Approximately two weeks after the embryo transfer, a pregnancy test is performed. If the IVF treatment is successful, your family will celebrate the arrival of a new member with your surrogate!
